Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Southern California
1334 S. Central Ave., Los Angeles

Architect: Robert V. Derrah
Opening Date: 1937
Looks like an ocean liner! View from the outside; the building is not open to the public.

 

Grauman's Chinese Theatre
6925 Hollywood Blvd., Hollywood

Architect: Meyer and Holler
Opening Date: 1927
This is why they used to call them movie palaces. The inside of the theatre is only open if you buy a movie ticket. Don't miss the famous hand and footprints out front.

LAX Theme Building
Los Angeles International Airport, 1 World Way, Los Angeles

Architects: Welton Becket and Associates, Pereira and Luckman, Paul R. Williams
Opening Date: 1961
A spaceship right in the middle of the airport! Now used as a restaurant; currently closed to the public for repairs.

 

Randy's Donuts
805 W. Manchester Ave., Inglewood

Architect: Robert Graham
Opening date: 1953
The biggest donut you'll ever see! Open to the public (if you want to buy a donut!).

Southeast corner of Carmelita Ave. & Walden Dr., Beverly Hills

Architect: Henry Oliver
Date completed: 1921
Hansel and Gretel's house in Beverly Hills. View from the street; this is a private house.
